News: The Oris Aquis Goes Two-tone

The Aquis line from Oris—the plucky affordable independent brand that only makes mechanical watches—is always one to keep an eye on.

Last year's Upcycle model featured unique multicoloured dials made from plastic salvaged from the oceans, and now they’ve released gold two-tone versions of the Aquis Date.

Both versions, with graduated dials in either forest green or deep blue, have an 18-carat gold finish to the outer edge of their bezels, as well as gold-coloured hands and indexes. They come with a stainless steel bracelet or a rubber strap in matching green or blue that can be easily swapped using Oris’s very nifty QuickStrap Change system.

Case size is a middle-of-the-range 41.5mm and it’s water resistant to 300 metres, equalling your standard Submariners and Seamasters.

Those familiar with Oris’s in-house automatic Calibre 400, which powers this new Aquis, will be aware that it comes with a whopping 120-hour power reserve. Do the maths—that’s a whole five days!

This eye-catching dive watch will set you back £3,200 on a vivid rubber strap (matching the green or blue dial) or a hundred pounds more for the bracelet version.
